Member Engagement

Our membership and engagement goals for 2012 are as follows:

  1. Impact of dues structure changes are carefully monitored and deliberated
  2. The membership committee is further developed and refined
  3. A peer-to-peer outreach strategy to retain and attract members is implemented
  4. Growth strategies are researched and recommended.
  5. Programs to surrounding counties are in place
  6. Expand participation among GPNP members  by 20%

To reach these goals, the GPNP will:

  1. Develop "Each One, Call One" Membership Development Ladder Program
  2. Identify inactive members, call and inquire about member needs, and engage in new or current committees, trainings and/or events.
  3. Separate duties of Membership Committee into services and recruitment
  4. Double the size and make more geographically representative the Membership Committee
  5. Expand the use of technology to increase member engagement

The success of the GPNP is highly dependent on membership involvement.  GPNP members consist of nonprofit organizations of all categories and sizes from the ten-county region, philanthropic and corporate partners who wish to support and work with the nonprofit sector and the communities we serve.

The Membership Committee and the staff work diligently to reach these goals.  We are proud to share that we are close to reaching our goal of 350 members in the 10-county region, currently have a 99% retention rate, and over 60 members are engaged in committees and even more in our advocacy efforts and regular programming.  It is important that members find value in the GPNP and in order to deliver great value, we listen attentively to what members need from us and how we can best serve the membership.  If you have an idea to suggest, contact our staff or one of our Membership Committee members!  We would be glad to consider it.  Whether it is a training, a networking event, or more information on a given topic, we want to hear from you!

Be sure to look for our monthly e-newsletters where we keep members attuned to upcoming events, funding opportunities and important news and updates. The GPNP also hosts several events every year to provide networking opportunities as well as important and timely information affecting the sector. Check out our Event Calendar for upcoming events and even submit one of your own!

Not a GPNP member?  Join us today by going to our "Become A Member" page!  The process is simple and membership dues are based on your organization's budget size.
