Advance - Advance the capacity and focus of the nonprofit sector to meet current and future community needs.

Charities exist both for a social purpose and to be drivers of social change. The Greater Pittsburgh Nonprofit Partnership exists to improve the viability, impact and effectiveness of the nonprofit sector. We do this through:

• Educating the public about the nonprofit sector and generating support for the sector;
• Acting as an informed, organized voice for the sector;
• Providing a forum for discussing and developing solutions to community problems; and
• Creating a face, and a voice, for the sector that is not easily forgettable to the community.

Through these actions, the GPNP is an alliance that provides value to members and to the community as a whole.
